For Immediate Release

BLESSED IS THE KINGDOM” CONFERENCE OCTOBER 31

Blessed is the Kingdom, Acts 2:42 and Today,” has been chosen for as the theme for the upcoming Orthodox Institute for Continuing Education in the Faith to be held October 31—November 3, 2013 at Antiochian Village. As our Church enters the 21st century, participants will look for insight into what it means to be the Orthodox Church by going back to its vibrant formative years. Courses and exhibits will introduce attendees to the themes, people, and issues of the early Church. And, the challenges of “being Church today” will be addressed in very practical workshops. Our keynote speaker is His Eminence, Bishop SAVAS of Pittsburgh whose keynote address will be, “The Spirit of Giving in the Early Church.” Mr. Nicholas Chakos, Executive Director of FOCUS NA will inform us of the work of his organization in that regard. The Orthodox Institute Continuing Education in the Faith is sponsored by the Orthodox Christian Education Commission, and the Departments of Education of the Greek Orthodox and Antiochian Archdioceses, and the Orthodox Church in America. This educational and inspirational event is reasonably priced and a wonderful time of fellowship. For information, please go to www.antiochian.org/OI2013.
